takaza and I are now at home, safe. There’s a good 8-10 inches of snow on the ground and it’s still coming down hard. And horizontally.
Whiteouts suck.

So glad I stayed home today….
not the most scentific way
I just stuck a yardstick in the frozen seed of jesus and came up with 4 inches.
It’s near 70 here. 🙂
HATE.
Send it down here! We were supposed to get storms all day, but it’s 70F and sunny. 😛
ALSO HATE.
Glad you guys made it home safe… And it’s a good thing your sidewalks magically clear themselves! That would SUCK.
If you are anywhere near Gray’s Lake/Gurnee, as of 3:00 PM you had 12 to 13 inches of wonderfulness waiting for the snow fairies to play with. At the rate the garbage is coming down, you should have 20 inches by 6:00PM. As much as I love you, the old saying goes “Better you………”. It is 63 degrees in Clemson and all the storms they threatened are passing way east of us. Didn’t get the nasty winds they were predicting, either. Keep us posted. Just hope you don’t lose power. The snow they are describing has a way of playing havoc with the electrical grid – downing trees that, in turn, take down the power lines.
Eeek, that must have been scary! Glad you’re home safe.
Allow me to add how much I covet your magical snow-clearing gnomes!
I presribe lot’s of hot drinks and canid snuggles! 🙂
I’m just getting ready to leave work now. :/
We could use a little more snow up here ^_^
