I’m afraid I need to do a little trimming on my Friends list. I assure you that if you get dropped I’m not crossing you off my Kwanzaa card list or moving you over to my Enemies List (though such an implementation on LJ would be amusing…). It would, of course, be shallow to say that I follow your journal just for the pictures. You make some interesting and well-reasoned political commentary and other comments that are amusing to read though having pics of that sexy body doesn’t hurt either 🙂

I’d have to do a lot more politically edged posts to make up for any lack of nekkid stuff. And in doing so (i.e., posting more political stuff), I’d lose as many LJ friends as I gained. Maybe more, considering the furry avenues I tend to travel online.

Actually, I think that’s a bit unfortunate. I’ve been online long enough to know that it’s incredibly unlikely that anything political I ever write will sway anyone’s opinions. I am fine with others having divergent opinions – left or right – as long as they similarly respect my ability to believe what I do. While that seems to be hard for some people, that doesn’t appear to be a problem for you.
Or maybe I’m just selfish. Nearly all of my friends are significantly to my left politically, so imagine what would happen if I didn’t have a lot of “leftward tolerance.”
I weighed saying something, but I figured thanks to both you and Takaza was in order. Neither one of you have to follow my journal but I’m honored that you do.
Damnit! Of all the times I’ve read this kind of disclaimer in people’s journal, I go look to find that I’m still on the list. Nobody has ever actually put me off their friends list, as far as I know.
Where am I to turn to find people who find me boring or wish to reject me?
