Glorious Friday!

Not much on the agenda for the weekend, and this is a Good Thing. Got the daily gym trip after work, then dinner, which will likely be supplied by one of our fine local eateries since we don’t really have jack in the house to cook – heck, it’s been almost two weeks since we went to the store. On the one hand, that’s good because it keeps the bills down. On the other, the choices start to get a bit lean by the end of the second week. So a trip to the grocery store is on the agenda for Sunday.

Also this weekend, I need to take back the shirt I picked up at Kohl’s last week. I don’t know what they define a XXL as, but it fit more like a large on me. Sheesh. It’s a bummer, too, because I like the pattern. Guess I’ll have to keep shopping. I’ve found I like some of the tropical-type print shirts that I’ve seen. And y’all can just keep your Big Gay Al comments to yourselves, thankyouverymuch.

Other stuff for the weekend: teach myself PHP. No problem, right? Actually, it’s a side-project I’m kicking around as an experiment with web forms. We’ll see if I can figure it out or not. Probably poke at some Midwest Furfest stuff too, and see where we stand on a couple of items (like sponsor goodies). Tomorrow (June 15) is a big deadline for some things, and I’m interested to see if that deadline has been met.

    Hawaiian Shirts!
    The “Big Gay Al” comment made me loose it. Damn Diet Coke in the keyboard. As you may have noticed, there were some tropical shirts at the wedding, Alan even changed into Bob’s hawaiian print vest later on. I say go for it Big Gay Tom! And thanks for making the trek up north just for me. 🙂
    Non sequitor, I have a big bruise over half of my big toe nail, and it hurts. 🙁

    “Size” queens and kings…
    I’ve learned that size is very relative when it comes to clothing.
    As I’m slowly dropping back down to an ideal weight and size, I’ve been playing with my wardrobe– periodically going in to the closet and seeing what fits, and what’s still in the “wait and work out” pile.
    Everything in my closet, at least so far as shirts go, is an XL. I’ve got some that are now baggy on me, and others that are skin tight– if I suck it in to button it up. I bought a club shirt from http://www.roostergear.com (and you thought you were making yourself vulnerable for gay jokes? *grins*) that barely fits me now. I’m hoping it will fit me better in a month or two, I’m hoping. ;X)

    Like Gen, I almost lost it!!! YOU in a hawaiian shirt (!?!) really does NOT COMPUTE! Good for you, though, you are finding a more colorful side of life….had I bought you something like that say 3/5 years ago you would have thought I had lost all my marbles.       Geeze, I didn’t think it was that big of a deal, but hey, they’re comfy and heavens know I need some color in my wardrobe. Trouble is, I’m quite picky about the patterns I like, and the one I’d picked up was one of the few I cared for. Ah well – guess I’ll check a couple of other stores. And I guess I need a pic of me in one of the shirts for you unbelievers 🙂

    It’s ironic you should use that, since just the other day I was banging my head against the wall in a desperate bid to make my PS2 play the Criterion Collection Chasing Amy. And the line kept running over and over in my head all day yesterday.
