We’ve got a bit of a crisis in the Anthrocon Artists Alley/Con Store and we need YOUR help! Through no fault of their own, we have lost three experienced and hard-working staffers this year, creating a huge hole in our staffing. I need your help! I need folks who don’t mind giving up 4-5 hours of their day each day during the convention, between 9 AM until 6 PM. You would be running a cash register and helping to staff either the Artists Alley or the Con Store. The duties are well-documented and easy to learn.
What do you get in exchange? Well, that’s the good part. You’ll get FREE admission to Anthrocon, easy registration (bypass the huge lines!), a free T-Shirt, and a free delicious dinner on Sunday night. Additionally, you’ll get to work with some really fun and amazing people and enjoy a great feeling of accomplishment when the convention is over.

As much as I’d love to help, since my previous department doesn’t exist anymore, my future is too unknown to plan a trip to AC at this time. 🙁

I would *actually* consider it, but I would need floorspace somewhere first. Plus I would also want to work full-day instead of 4-5 hours at a time.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any crash space to offer; what we have is already taken. As for scheduling, that sounds like something that could be worked out.

If it wasn’t for the $$$ cost of a plane ticket, and the fact that I have NO vacation time left due to other considerations, and the room cost. I’d say sure…..But sadly can’t.

I’ve got some time between my panels that I can help you out. I’m allready on Publication and Programming so it won’t benefit me at all to take your staff spot but I can do it. I have Friday and Saturday 2:30-6 free.

Too soon for me to commit to going to AC (work schedule is my main issue right now), Duncan, but if you don’t get your three – then give me a call, then I’ll see what I can do. I said I’d never work staff again for personal reasons, but I’ll be damned if I will let a friend be in a bind and not offer to help if I can.
Hey uh. I was passed this link along inna email, and I’m coming in on Wednesday. And I can volunteer for a day maybe two (I might be selling the other day(s) though). I’ve been coming to AC since 2005 and am familiar with it, though this would be my first time volunteering. :}
