Never More Than Now

Last night was a bit rough for me. I was stressed, worrying about the convention, worried about alienating my friends, worried about annoying takaza, worried about all the stuff we have left to do in a very short time. Dan saw how stressed I was and snuggled me close and we talked. He helped me see how it will all work out, and how my fears are for naught. He calmed me down, and he made me happy. I was reminded yet again of how lucky I am to have this wonderful man to share my life with. And while today marks the seventh anniversary of our celebration of lifelong commitment to one another, it’s just a another date. It is much more notable that Dan brings joy to my life every single day, and makes me so happy that we are together with every moment that I spend with him.

I love you so much, Dan!

    As for the con..thankfully I’ve never been in your position and hopefully I never will so I have no practical experience to base any advice off of. However there is this:

    You have a fantastic crew for MFF. They know their job, they know how to problem solve. At this point you’ve physically built the car and taken it for a test run. Its now just a matter of putting it into production. Of course there will be tweaks along the way, there always are, but at this point we are ready to rock. Let the chips fall where they may….See you guys Thursday!

    Happy anniversary! I am so happy for you two. Mbala and I have been in the same boat – I’ve been going crazy getting ready, even though I’ve been planning and going crazy for a solid month (I know you know how that goes!) but he’s taken it in stride and done nothing but help. He doesn’t even mind the fact the house currently looks like it exploded and there are display panels and power tools all over the living room and kitchen. :>
    Having that kind of support makes the world a wonderful place, no matter what the situation. 🙂

    Hey, Happy Anniversary, my dear friends. And don’t worry, Everything will go well for MFF. You guys always know how to throw a great con. And When it’s over you will sit down and go ‘now why did I worry about all that?’

    Well I have to say, it’s been great meeting you both. It’s wonderful that you have such a successful relationship and congrats on such longevity! 🙂

    I can only imagine the stress you are going through regarding the convention. Planning something like FURconsin, which is a -much- smaller scale, is stressful enough, I can only imagine a con of 2,000 people. In any case, it’s going to be great, it always is, and thanks for the hard work ya put into this for us all.
