Communicating with the Husky

It has come to my attention that folks don’t quite know the best way to get in touch with me. Here’s the breakdown, in order of preference:

1. E-mail – Sad to say, but between work and home, I usually check my personal email about once every five minutes. I keep every damn e-mail I send and receive (my archive goes back 12 years), and it is extremely handy for me to have something searchable. For con-related stuff (Midwest FurFest or Anthrocon) I usually prefer people use my “official” addresses for those conventions, since it helps me sort through incoming mail. For personal stuff, you can use my Gmail addy or my wolfhusky.org addy – they both go to the same place. Oh, and all LJ comments to my posts get e-mailed to me, as well as notifications when posts are made to several communities.

2. Instant messaging – Because I have a laptop that is usually on the coffee table in the living room, when I’m at home I am usually shown as logged in to AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, and MSN. That doesn’t necessarily mean I’m around or feeling chatty, so if you message me and don’t get a response, please don’t take it personally. During the day I am also logged on at work, but I can be frequently pulled away from my desk to the production floor, or be involved in writing reports. If I’m around, though, I’ll usually say so and chat if I’m able.

3. SMS messaging – These messages will get to me…eventually. We’ve shown that Sprint can sometimes delay text messages up to 15 minutes so if you need to reach me immediately this isn’t the way to do it. Also, I frequently miss the audible sound when messages come in, so again, if you need to reach me immediately, just call me. One caveat: I am not allowed to have my cell phone with me while I am at work. This means that if you text message me between 7 AM and 4 PM Central Time, I won’t get it until I leave work at 4 PM.

4. Phone – My only phone is a cell phone, so it has the limitations of a cell phone, on top of the fact that I am not reachable at that number between 7 AM and 4 PM during the week (though you’re welcome to leave a voice mail message). At conventions, though, this is the best and sure-fire way to reach me. Also, unless the matter is extremely urgent, I am usually unavailable by phone after 9 PM CT during the week. If you need to reach me at work I can give you my work number, but there is a pretty small number of people that need that.

Now you know how to reach me! Don’t you feel special?

    work number

As your parents, with “some” medical conditions, could you, please, supply that number to us and your sister as well? Hopefully it will never be needed, but onr never knows does one. Ma

    Hi Duncan! 🙂

I was hanging with you the better part of the 3 days at Fur Fright on the dance floor (Among other parts of the place up there). I was the one that refused to pace myself when on the dance floor, and was usually exhausted to the point of near collapse as a result. lol *Shrugs shoulders* Good thing they had a lot of water on hand… I sure needed it.

Also, I took a a pic with you in the Atrium up there where I showed my sub side by staying on all fours like a good wittle toddler bunny wabbit. Oh, btw…. thank you much for the candy bar you gave me, hun.

Anyways, I wanted to drop you Email shortly after getting back… but between having some home repair work done, and having got sick (cold) after getting home, I haven’t been on until today…. roughly one week removed from Fur Fright ’08.

I’d love nothing better than to shoot the breeze with ya some. And, since I don’t see your Email addy here, I guess I’ll have to take my chances with the spambots and drop you mine.

Please get back to me at thewetrabbit1@yahoo.com

    *Hugs* heheh. Cutie. 🙂
