In the spirit of the old National Geographic “Day in the Life of…”, yesterday photographers fanned out across Chicago for A Day in the Life of the CTA (Chicago Transit Authority). You can read some of their stories here, or see their pictures collected here. Really neat stuff.
Those are really great; thank you!
A neat concept. I liked reading how one guy was hassled for taking pics. I’m glad he stood his ground and was not intimidated. I also like reading how scary my old hood in Cicero has become.
Photographers are becoming increasingly hassled for taking pictures in public places; it’s worrisome. I called the person at the CTA who’s in charge of PR and photography stuff and got instructions for her on who to tell employees to contact to get confirmation that I’m allowed to take pictures. *grins* We need to stand up for our rights much more than we do.
They have some good pictures there.
