Well, last night was a blast. We started out with dinner at Potbelly’s Sandwiches with linnaeus, rustitobuck, tecknow, and, in a surprise appearance, lisagems (glad you could make it – I hope the company helped cheer you up a bit). The sandwiches were…OK. I think I prefer Jimmy John’s, but hey, it was convenient. Next month (and we will be doing a coffee gathering again next month), I think we might try Redder, the restaurant just north of the Southport El stop, instead.

After dinner, we walked across the street to Bobtail, and were joined by daveqat, jimcyl, perro, woodychitwn, and luckytheevildog. Much entertaining conversation took place, veering from convetnion geeking to interesting bar experiences to job hunting possibilities.It was great to hang out with a fun group like that. The folks at Bobtail were quite happy to have us there, even if we did take up an inordinate amount of space. It helped that we tipped nicely and cleaned up after ourselves 🙂 I had a really good time, and I look forward to doing this again next month, maybe on the 16th? Also, rumor has it that Linnaeus is thinking about putting together a Happy Hour (to borrow from the Chambana folks :-), which would be a lot of fun as well.
