Anthrocon hotel update

For those of you who don’t read , unclekage says about the overflow hotel:
The Omni has informed us that they are sold out of double-bed rooms on the night of Friday, June 16. There are only a very few double-bed rooms left for Saturday and Sunday, and most of those are smoking rooms.

Thus, only king-bed rooms are left. The hotel has a very limited number of rollaways that will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis on site, so please do not count on having a rollaway!

Ye gods. Looks like attendance won’t be too much of an issue, though.

At this rate of growth, Anthrocon will someday occupy 2 time zones during the con…O_O!
I wonder if the convention center area is large enough to hold the con after all… *grin*

The convention center’s scarily, Lovecraft-ically huge, i.e. merely gazing at its hugeness can drive insane those unprepared for the ghastly gargantuan..ness..ity. Something.
And we’re barely filling 1/4 of it this year. 🙂

I think 1/4 might be generous. But hey – lots of room for growth! And if Anthrocon ever hits 50,000, well, I guess it’ll be time to look for a new space…
