By the way, just a side note: If you normally stay logged in to LiveJournal, you were logged out back on January 20 and again late last night due to some security issues (also, Sidekick users are not staying logged in). What this means (among other things) is that while you think you may be seeing your friends’ journal entries, you may not have seen their friends-only posts. Click here to be sure you’re logged in.
Edit: As was pointed out in , the new cookie is rather amusing:
v1:u435974:s206:aYmJIc5RayK//Thanks+for+signing+in+/+LiveJournal+loves+you+a+lot+/+Here+have+a+cookie
I typically read LJ through links or htmlview through an ssh UNIX terminal session. Monday afternoon, everything worked fine.
Tuesday morning: I can now successfully log in, but I cannot view my own LJ, my friends page, or my user info page after logging in – I get a page showing “Found – The document has moved here.” Clicking on “here” or refreshing the page gets the same result.
If I do not log in, I can view my LJ (public posts only), my friends page (public only), and my user info page.
I can view my “My LJ” portal page post-login, but that’s it.
Ahem. Sorry, that was me. Forgot I needed to post with username and password.
I was wondering what was up with the your-cookie-is-invalid-try-logging out/sorry-you’re-already-logged-out/your-cookie-is-still-invalid business I was getting on my sidekick. Maybe it will stop now.
That’s more of a tragic cookie, I’d say.
You’re right! That’s a funny cookie 🙂
