My old group took care of those types by forcing them in a room with a complete set of the Rules LawyerRolemaster system books without food or water for a day or so.
Such measures seemed to work well for some reason…
Doesn’t work. I used to play “Rulemaster” with people who raped, pillaged, and eventually re-wrote the books becasue they weren’t “complete enough”.
And yes, they rules lawyered their rewrite too.

Then there are the situationial rules lawyer. The rules are for you, not for him or her.

I think it was the lack of food and water for a day that did it.
