Up North of the border in Canada, “Cursed” Is stills howing on cut-in commercials between shows, and still slated to be in theatres starting another week or so? I don’t know if this is an oversight, or the decision to pull from Canada release has been delayed.. or they figure.. what the heck, it’s only the Canadian market who cares?

Ah, I can see how that first post that I linked to can be misleading. It’s not that they have cancelled all public screenings – Cursed is still on for release this coming weekend – it’s that they cancelled all press screenings. This is a typical Hollywood technique to maximize profits on a film by limiting advance information (and keeping critics from spreading the word that a movie is an out-and-out suckfest). Look for the box office gross to drop off precipitously by the second week of release as word gets around that the movie is a complete turkey. (See also: From Justin To Kelly, Gigli, Alien vs. Predator, and Exorcist: The Beginning).
