I don’t live out on the Left Coast, so these results don’t mean much. Still, the KQED Vote By Issue quiz is interesting – you select which position on twelve issues you agree with, then in the end they show you which of the “top five” candidates (which is a little artificial, given there’s another 125 candidates unaccounted for) you most agree with.
As expected, I fell within the social liberal-fiscal conservative range.
Arnold Schwarzenegger – Economy, Environment
Peter Camejo – Prop. 54 – Classification By Race, Crime/Criminal Justice, Abortion
Arianna Huffington – Education, The Budget
Cruz Bustamante – Health Care, Labor, Energy, Immigration, Same-Sex Couples
General comments: My goodness, Huffington really is way out there on the left, isn’t she? Also, you’ll note that none of my answers agreed with Tom McClintock. From what I’ve heard and read about him, this is no great surprise – he might be as far on the right as Huffington is on the left. At any rate, judging from what I see here if I had to vote I’d probably go with Bustamante (I can’t comment on which way I’d vote on the recall, though – not enough information).

Hi! Thanks! I’m 36 today.
I’ve mailed in my ballot for Ahhnold and am hoping he is what he’s seemed at his best, not what he’s seemed at his worst. :/ Tom is a good man but too social-issue-conservative for me. Cruz, Peter and Arianna want to raise taxes, period, not focus on cutting bloated government … Oh well. See? you got me started …
