I saw something that reminded me of one of the topics of discussion down at mirkowuff‘s place: a review in today’s Trib of Aloha Grill Hawaiian BBQ. (Bugmenot link if needed)
Yes, they serve “that uniquely Hawaiian combination of barbecued meat, macaroni salad and perfectly cooked rice in a foam container”. The menu even includes Spam musubi. Gack.
When are we going?
I’ve had a taste for Noon O Kebab as well..
Well, I never said I actually wanted to eat there 🙂 But the review does make it sound pretty tasty, Spam notwithstanding.
Noon O Kebab is OK, but I have to admit I’m finding their menu kind of limited. My project for the new year, I think, is going to be exploring more Southeast Asian cuisines – Indian and Thai. Gee, I wonder if I can find any places like that in Chicago?
