I’m sooo glad you guys got the house sold. Now all you need is a job in ChiTown. 🙂 The house will be missed, many a party (all great) it will be sad to see it go. Tho my tears ran harder for the sell in Joliet. 🙂 Come home soon!! 😀

Well, we were looking to get out of the area so this is one less thing to tie us down here. We’ll miss the house, but not the neighborhood, so it’s not too great a loss. Now we just need to nail down where we’re headed next…

Thanks! We’ll keep y’all informed of whatever plans take shape. Ideally we hope to get everything packed well ahead of time and stage all the boxes in the dining room. That way when actual moving time comes we can do the move in a couple of well-organized trips.

In reply to hartree. Thanks! I was thinking about that yesterday - this house has been home to some fantastic parties, and it's been well-suited to it. I guess it just means that our next house will need to be equally well-suited. And a whole lot less beige!

Oh gosh – while we certainly appreciate the offer, we’re a good three hours from Charlotte (and not exactly on the way to Blacksburg). Given that we’re planning to have everything set so that the actual move will take only about 3 hours (I have plenty of time to pack and move small items between now and then), we wouldn’t ask y’all to come so far.
