We've got some bare-bones ideas for the July menu, but I'm loathe to commit to anything until I have a chance to try some of the recipes out. Heyyyy...we seem to have a nice 3-day weekend coming up on July 4th. Would you care to come help us test out some recipes?

Part of the reason why I'm still hesitant to go see KFP despite all the rave reviews from the majority of my circle of acquaintances (aka furry fandom) is exactly what you mentioned above. Hopefully the big IMAX screen helped distract you from that on a visual level, otherwise I'll be sure to wait for it either at the Buffalo Grove or Vernon Hills second-run theatres.

We should also consult on pre-planning for the July catering menu. Poultry is primary, but any seasoning ideas for it yet?

Perhaps it didn't get to me at all 'cause I really don't know much of Jack Black's work. Then again, actually, there were a few movie buffs in both of my viewing groups who commented that the movie worked well because Jack Black didn't act like himself. (Yes, I saw this movie twice, and yes, the groups did overlap slightly.)

That said, seeing the movie twice was enough for me. I think a lot of the humor worked well on me the first time 'cause it all caught me by surprise. The second time I anticipated more of the lines and didn't enjoy myself as much.

I agree about Kung Fu Panda. I liked the animation (I wasn't too keen on all the main characters, that snake was AWFUL) but some of the design was really awesome. But the story was 'eh' and Jack Black, bleh. He wasn't as annoying as I expected him to be but it was still distracting.

Indian food <3! Good luck with your AC prep. :) I hope everything goes smoothly and you get some good time to relax after its all said and done!
