Hey there - so are you looking for help on restaurants and other things in the area? I didn't even check where MFF was going to be next year, but I grew up literally 5 mins away from it. If you need any help with the area, let me know. =)

Free tax filing is a godsend, especially for those of us who don't itemize and so can't deduct the cost. I couldn't do it the first year - nobody cares about us non-residents - and so I ended up filling out a lot of paper. (That said, it was my best refund so far . . . retirement savings credit really adds up when you only get to work half the year and throw 1/3 in the 401k).

More and more non-profits seem to be getting into tax filing, so the free-file programs are widely available, even for state filing in some cases. The state websites usually offer links. May not be deluxe, but it works.

My congratulations to Takaza on his promotion! I look forward to making use of his restaurant reviews in November. :-)
