Yeah, I was/am a member of the Element Owner’s Group, and now the Ridgeline Owner’s Group. Invaluable information on those sites, and great deals a lot of times too if you’re looking for parts.

But, figured the little reset trick might help if you wanted to switch up your inspection/check-up/etc. 🙂

Y’know, I didn’t know that (it’s good to know!) but I suppose I could have gone hunting for it; I’ve found the Element owners’ forums are a treasure trove of useful information (as when I fixed Dan’s windshield washer fluid motor for $20 as opposed to the $250 the dealership wanted).

Mind you, they’ll only cover it if the tear is on a seam, indicating a manufacturing defect.

I found out this afternoon that the 60k service for Dan’s car is going to be $550. Ouch! Granted, it’s been several years since we’ve put any money into it, so I suppose it’s due…

That little trick came in handy for me a few times during bogus light blips (As Honda loves to blink the Check Engine light even if the gas cap sensor gets above a certain temp, “just in case”).
