But you have a good point. In fact, we have too goddamn much stuff to unpack. You want an entertainment center, by any chance? It’s about 3′ tall by 6′ long, with glass cabinets on either side of a space for a 27″ TV and shelves under the TV.

Well, I’d argue that since there’s still the psychological issues of moving and the ongoing turmoil of “where’s my stuff” it’s just as traumatic. Even if you discount anything before 1991, that’s still fourteen moves. Which is more than enough for any sane person! 🙂

Gimme a break!! Until 1991, the biggest impact moving
had on you was locating your bed. Call me later, like after work. Have family news…not of the really terrible type but certainly not “let’s pop the bubbly” type either. M

You have my sympathy. If I’d had to move that many times in my life, well, I think I wouldn’t be here any more. Moving is too hard. I thought that even when I was a college student living in a dorm room. The last time around, 8 years ago, the two of us moved from a house in the city where we’d lived for 14 years. That one was really, really unpleasant. I don’t even want to think about doing it ever again.
