Most cell phone companies have vacation plans where you can drop your monthly bill to something like $10 a month while you are out of their coverage region. Just tell them that you’re goin to europe for a while and need to have your plan put in vacation mode and ride out the rest of your contract. Then when you “come back” you just cancel service.
