I’m fond of the Red Lion, the Hop Leaf, and the Ten Cat, for two. Of course, any bar is loud and crowded on the weekends, and has a better shot at being nice and quiet early in the week. The best coffeehouses are closed now, I’m afraid, though I have kind things to say about Pick Me Up and The Grind.

Went there Saturday night with Shiela and Ed, was an absolutely fantastic meal. The owner/chef was our waiter and also had quite a few beer recommendations from his impressive list.
