Yes :) It's amazing how much 45 minutes will change the course of a race, we had almost no crowds after the game, they were all gone.

Return of the Racers 3: Minoriteam checks in
I forget if we were the ones who caught up to Team Yuk just behind the pirate show or if they caught up to us. In either case, their fast-paced walking through the crowds at Navy Pier left us in the dust. Seeing two teams just ready to leave there (Team Vin Diesel Hubcaps and Torgo's Angels) as my teammate and I got set up was a bit disheartening, and reading the instructions for the task didn't add much confidence either. My teammate ended up being Person A at the anchor, along with a pair of coons who finished before we did.
Once we finished looking like clowns and opened the next clue, my teammate solved the first two words and from the rest of the clue figured our next destination. Figuring we'd rest our feet, we went to the blue free trolley stop and solved the rest of the words while waiting for a ride. After about 20 minutes I could've sworn I saw Team Crossing Gates heading towards the anchor, which prompted me to check the service schedule for the trolley. That's when my partner begrudgingly got up too and we hiked back to the CTA bus shelters to ride them to the Red Line trains and get up to Wrigley Field. Unbeknownst to us, Team Yuk apparently had taken a beer break too.
Once we got to the end of the Cubs game, my teammate wisely led me to the one-way exit from the station on the other side of the street, with plans to hit up 7-11 while I sought the statue and the answer. He nixed the idea of going into the convenience store after passing up Team Vin Diesel Hubcaps and we went directly to the back of the statue to call in our answer and get the next clue. Seeing Team Yuk on a nearby counter, I set up next to them and proceeded to carry an extra one in solving the puzzle, thus putting us further behind as we rode the Clark bus to the end of Southport, then hiked our way back down past the Music Box and plenty of Thai restaurants to get to the Break-Point just as Team Yuk was about to leave and Torgo's Angels were extending their off-the-clock break.
I didn't want to take a break, I wanted to be back at the hotel swimming in the pool! We had also gone about 5 hours into the race and I had already told my teammate that it shouldn't last more than 6! But at least he got some refreshments while I amused myself with passersby.
So is anyone else enjoying my commentary?
