Well, for some reason, Galena, IL is a tourist destination. But since “going antiquing” isn’t quite our style, I’ll leave that to others to explore.
As for going north, well, you’re probably right there. Given the limited number of routes northwards I’d imagine it can get pretty congested. Still, if I were going to head north, I’d want to go to a place like this.

Just the idea of “North” makes me shudder… I swear Friday’s Wisconsin weekend rush-hour begins on Thursday.
Which leaves West… *Checks a map* Davenport, IA?!? I know I said a change of scenery… But that’s insanity. Maybe we’ll just stay home.

A word of advice: Don’t try to leave on a Friday afternoon. That way lies pain. Or if you do, head north or west – NOT SOUTH.
