Me too! I was always pretty comfortable with the Element, though. A little sliding here and there, but as long as I kept it slow and sane, I never had the feeling that I might get stranded. As usual, it’s the idiots all around you that you have to worry about. Somebody stopped short for a traffic light and I slid to within about a foot of his bumper before coming to a stop (I don’t normally follow that closely in bad weather, but it was right after an active Metra track).

Under normal circumstances, I would have taken the better part of valor and taken Metra. Since I had a doctor’s appointment, though, I had to drive. In retrospect, I probably should have rescheduled. Ah well…
