You are the Google-master, but… you know, I was there last Wednesday for Dine for America (http://www.dineforamerica.com) and actually had dessert, but creme brulee was not mentioned. Checking Carrabba’s site, and their local Athens menu (they’re menus are localized?), there is no mention of creme brulee under Docli.

Well, I wondered about the back to school crowd, except almost all of the students up here have been in school since the beginning of September, and the traffic only started getting worse about a week ago.
And yeah, it’s scary how much the spinach cooks down. But it’s quite good if you add a little olive oil, bacon, and garlic! And a quick Google search shows that the best place to look for a creme brulee in Athens is Carraba’s, which isn’t too bad of a restaurant overall (they’re a sibling restaurant to Outback Steakhouse, apparently).

I’m not sure if I buy that reasoning or not. Maybe people go to work earlier so they can be home earlier for their kids, or parents who normally take care of the kids during the summer are going back to work.
On a completely unrelated note, I thought of you when I was cooking an entire bag of spinach (which would make about 3 good salads in my case) wilt down to something that barely covers the bottom of a cereal bowl. It was tasty but just one of those strange chemistry things that happen in the kitchen, like sugar that caramelizes. Aggh. Now I have to find some place in Athens that has creme brulee. Dammit.

Well, if everything goes well, we’ll defintiely be doing Wuffmeet and FRAC again, maybe on Memorial Day weekend.
And actually, the week before MFF isn’t too bad – by that time, if anything is screwed, it’s too late to do anything about it. Now, the first two weeks of November, on the other hand…

I know I had quite a few sleepless nights with MFM this year, caused by hotel issues and computer issues. 🙂
Wish I could make it, but I will definatly try for next year. It just fell on a really bad weekend for me this time. If I hadn’t had my belt test tonight, I would probably be there :/
