It used to be I’d park the car and leave it when I went on trips, now it’s cheaper for me to take a cab (about $25 from where I am, one way, with tip) for any trip over two days.
Incidentally, after you went to bed Sunday, Linnaeus and I had some ice cream with that caramel sauce you made. It was very, very good. The sauce that is. Mmmmm.

Shortbread is indeed fabulous on its own. I was inspired by the almond shortbread cookies that Cafe Boost in Chicago has, slightly almond flavored, a think caramel glaze, and a dollop of chocolate that is grainy enough that they must make it themselves (which would be a good way to temper some of the sweetness, come to think of it). The proper balance of flavors would take a good bit of trial and error.
Or I could save the hassle and follow your advice. Hmm, I think that’s a better idea 🙂

Yeah, the cheapest “Economy Lot” is $13/day. It’s sad that I could park out in Schaumburg at the Hyatt Woodfield and take a limo in and out for cheaper than it is to park at the airport.

Oh, sorry I haven’t gotten back to you yet, but I’d be happy to pick you up on Sunday. Just pass along flight information some time between now and then.

I love shortbread, but because it is made from only real butter, sugar, and flour I only make it once a year. As in, right now.
