Gastonia ain't all that bad...'sides, Brophey and Rasslor(ler?)would also have a "fail safe" half-way in between. We so enjoyed your visit this last weekend and, you are right, Pat did, indeed, give
Dan a true Thumbs Up. The boys (devils that they are - Tim inherited your youthful gift of gab - Ruth hopes she will survive it - I may not)were really delighted with all the goodies you brought down. However, I may be driven to pop all three punchy balloons if they don't get the message that they truly are OUTDOOR toys. Was there an ulterior motive there? I've always threatened drum sets for Christmas, but only because I could get in my car and drive away.

Ahh Gastonia. That's where I got trapped on my AC 2003 trip. I had a full tank of gas in Atlanta and, in my hurry to run off at 10pm to drive all night, I forgot my wallet at home. I didn't notice until I was almost out of gas.
This meant I had no means to buy anything and no means to stop and spend the night. I had my cell phone, though, so I called up my dear Rasslor who saved me that night. He called in a hotel room for me. :) The next day, Santyth was going up to AC 2003 himself, so he brought my wallet by.
I think I deserved that in some strange cosmic way.
Anyway, if you did get to Gastonia, know that we'd only be a tankful of gas away. ;)
