Be good to yourself while you wait during the surgery. When my dad had his prostate surgery, I gave the folks at the hospital my cell phone number, and got my mother out of the drab, dreary waiting room with the soap-opera TV. We went across the street and had a nice breakfast, which distracted my mom from thinking too much.
If it weren’t for the distance, I’d wait with ya. You know, I’m always a phone call away if you want.
