In reply to fuzzytoedcollie. Heh - believe me, I was sure to play up to both the interviewer and to the recruiter what a great location Lafayette would be for us. I made sure to mention that we knew folks at Wolf Park (the interviewer had been there just a few weeks before), too :-) The recruiter was surprised I was so keen on Lafayette, but I suppose she probably hears from a lot of people moving from New Jersey or some such saying, "You want me to move to where in Indiana?" And hey, I figure if we wound up there we could count on seeing you on a semi-regular basis ;-)

Thanks babe. I’m a bit wet…..both physically and emotionally worn out….but I fared reasonably well considering the circumstances. A good 1/4th of the complex, on the other hand, have lost everything and are out on the street. From what I can tell, my unit was the absolute last building to get flood damage. If the water had gone up another quarter of an inch….I would be out of a home like them. Just got to feel fortunate the rain ended when it did.
