Yep, they caught both the door and the back quarter panel between the door and the wheel well. Y’know, if it were up to me and I was the one paying for it, I’d brush away the scuff marks and pretty much ignore it, but since someone else is willing to pay to fix it, well…
I have no idea exactly why the bill is so high, unless, as Dan said, they paint the whole bloody car so everything matches. There’s also the fact that it may come in well under that estimate – we’ll see. I’ve heard no word from them so far, so I assume they’re still working on it.
That sucks about your car, though! Man, I guess everything just hit at once? That’s a pretty hefty repair bill.
(Makes me nostalgic for the days of my F-150, when all I had to do to fix it was open the hood, climb in, and start banging away at it…)
