I was having similar thoughts, there. Reminds of one of Fred Gwynne’s lines from “My Cousin, Vinnie.” “Counsellor, you seem to want to skip the arraignment and the preliminary hearing, and jump straight to an acquittal simply because you are in the unique position of defending clients who claim they didn’t do it.”
