Re: Hurdy gurdies
Have you heard of William Pint and Felicia Dale? They do folk music, specializing in nautical music but not exclusively. Ms Dale plays the hurdy gurdy which adds a beautifully haunting sound to some of the songs they perform. I first heard them at the Bristol Renaissance Faire a couple of years ago and absolutely fell in love with their music.

Good Eats is Your Friend
We're big fans of Good Eats - in fact, was going to get some friends Alton's salt cellar for Christmas, except that they sold out in the blink of an eye.
By the way: Hi Jule! I don't think we've met, but it's a pleasure to see you around. Looking through your interest list, I see an amusing number of subjects that really should be on my list. Let's see, we've got anthropomorphic fiction, anuna, big band jazz, buttery nipples (evil things, those are!), calvin & hobbes, celtic music, champagne, charles delint (preferably early stuff, though), clannad, cooking, diversity, dogs, folk music, green tea, hard cider (Woodpecker, please), harry potter, herbs, hottubbing, hurdy gurdies (yay Nigel Eaton!), julia child, junkyard wars, katherine hepburn, kevin smith, massage, mead, monty python, moxy fruvous, muppets, npr, paganism, reading, recipes, role playing, scandinavian music, schipperkes (my parents have one - she's lovely), science fiction, scrabble, society for creative anachronism, squirrel nut zippers, steeleye span, urban fantasy, urban legends, varttina, zoos, and zydeco
You get bonus points for the Hedningarna mention in your journal :-) Which reminds me, I really should check and see what's new on the Omnium website these days. Anyway, good to meet you!
